My Yoga roots go way back.

I am E-RYT 500 certified through Yoga Alliance, a 2001 graduate of the Advanced Studies 18 month program at Piedmont Yoga Studio, and have studied in Pune, India with the renowned Iyengar family. Other experiences include appearing in Gaim’s Yoga Conditioning for Athletes with Rodney Yee, teaching at Yoga Journal, and completing countless teacher trainings. Teacher trainings also include Judith Lasater’s Restorative Yoga, Lisa Danylchuck’s Yoga for Trauma training, Carrie Owerko’s Playground, Jules Mitchell and Kathryn Bruni-Young’s Strength Training.

YogaMinded.com is my other website, home to my How to Teach Yoga to Teenagers Instructor Course, my co-authored book Yoga 4 Teens: An Instructor’s Guide for Teaching Yoga to Teenagers, and Yoga 4 Teens DVD .

Serving Others.

A Bible verse that inspires my work is 1 Peter 4:10: As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. I have a purpose in teaching and am rooted in my Christian faith.

Growth Mindset.

I embrace learning, growing and improving.

How can we keep growing? As we encounter new challenges, can we remain curious, respectful, and humble? At YogaMinded Studio, we keep growing together.

Other Activities? And Adventures!

With priority on cultivating strength, mind-body connection, balance, and recovery I repeatedly amazed by how this grounding practice helps me overcome my limiting beliefs and brave new adventures. And I love to share that empowerment!

Along my decades-long path of practicing yoga, I’ve learned how to dive in Virginia Beach, VA, I’ve surfed the biggest waves of my life in the Maldives, I’ve learned how to snowboard in Jackson Hole, and I’ve hiked and biked many mountains in the Teton Range. I have even added skateboarding to my latest thrill-seeking hobby.
